This is a full blood orange and one of the three varieties grown in Sicily along with Moro and Tarocco.
It is well behaved and can produce deep red fleshed fruits that hang well on the tree fully ripe for several months.
The deeper the colour of the flesh the richer the raspberry-like flavour becomes.
